to make them red, I placed vinyl over the tails. Still has the LED's and all other components, just much better looking than clear tails, IMO

I didn't much care for the car in pictures either, however in person I was sold right away. But to each their own

The ride is great, and the power is the same as every other wrx. They stuck to the roots engine and drivetrain wise, but also implemented a double wishbone rear suspension which previous years didn't have.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. This car is leaps and bounds over my previous civic and vr6 jetta.
thanks for the comments.

foglights are coming next week, as for the lip kit.. ehh, I will wait til there's something more appealing out. What I really need is the rear diffusor that comes on some of the premium packages.

The tail light overlays make an unbelievable difference

Something small I'd suggest for cleaning up the back even more would be to take that chrome bar and either paint match it or paint it black...maybe even remove the Impreza and Subaru lettering badges.

mos def.. subaru actually sells paint matched pieces, but I am going to see what a body shop will charge me to color match that piece since subaru wants close to $200.

As for the badges, I thought about that also, but am still undecided.

I will keep this thread updated as I make these subtle changes, it will slowly form into a more appealing car.
thanks for the comments.

Woah, $200? That's a little nuts. I had my mirrors paint matched (probably a little more of a pain than that bar would be) on my old car for about $50 at a good shop...although they already had the paint there, I think.

Those tail lights completely change the rear of that car.

I know right... they want 52$ for the unpainted piece, and then $192 for the paint matched.. I figured it would be around 50-100 to get it painted at a shop.. so hopefully I don't have to shell out money for an extra subaru part that is extremely overpriced IMO.
