Default Roll cage construction questions.

There used to be a good link on here awhile back on how to lay out and properly bend your main hoop for a roll cage. I searched but couldnt find it. If anyone has the link, or any good links to pages that might have some good info on measuring/bending/fitting in a roll cage, can you please post it.

Thanks
Ryan

Even if you dont know anything about the link i mentioned above, maybe someone can give me some hints/tricks to making the main hoop. Ive seen ppl draw it out on the floor, but im not sure exactly how they are finding the start and end points of the bends.

I used 1/4" copper conduit to mock all my stuff up. Worked like a charm and held form nicely so I could mock from it.

I could do it that way, but id rather try and lay it on the floor with chalk and then bend it up. I just cant for the life of me find the link that someone posted with a decent guide on how to do it.

I finally got the main hoop done, and tacked into the car. Everything so far has went pretty smothly. I want to start on either the halo, or doing a-pillar bars, but im not sure what style to go with. Ive seen about a 50/50 mix on cages.

What does everyone else prefer, a halo, and then 2 a-pillar bars, or 2 full a-pillar bars with a roof bar connecting the 2? The later option looks to be a bit easier, but id like to know if there is any real advantage to running one or the other?

THanks
Ryan

PS- here is a few progress pics:
