Default HF CRX with DOHC ZC dies randomly!!

Im having a mysterious issue with my jdm dohc zc crx. I traded the car and when the guy drove it home it just died on him while driving! It would crank and get fuel but no start. He said the rpm dropped lower and lower so he down shifted and it did nothing but keep going lower till it died. So we pulled the dizzy cap and checked it. It looked good. RIght after we put the cap back on it fired up like there was nothing wrong. So I turned it off and on to make sure it was ok and it stopped again. SO now everytime it does not start once I pull the cap off and put it back on it fires up. I bought a new cap and rotor and it seems fine now but, I haven't driven for more than 5 min at one time so I dont know it it will shut off on me again. Could it be my coil? BTW the magnet thing on the dizzy has a crack in it. would that affect it?

if you changed the cap and rotor and its not having the same problem anymore then you should be fine.

on the other hand if you do experience said problem again then you might want to change that dizzy out with a new one from a 89 Teg.

then just go ahead and get a new dizzy. if whatevers cracked inside the dizzy is the problem then that will fix. make sure you get 89 integra for that DOHC ZC.
