Replacing the fender on a '02 Honda Civic
*** The title says FENDER but what i meant was the BUMPER****
My mom was a victim of a hit 'n run recently... basically the bumper is all [freak]ed up but everything else seems ok..the piece above the fender is left untouched...
so me and my dad were thinking of just going to a junk yard and gettin a fender (i'm assuming we would have to remove it from the car in the junkyard, and then put it in... but me and my dad has no knowledge about cars but we are both good with tools and fixing stuff... so i was wondering if this task is too much and also how it could be done... any tips or info

it's pretty much straight foward. There are the bolts in the engine bay, the bumper bracket, and IIRC there is a couple by the door, you have to have open to get to them. Although, that might be a different car I'm thinking of, an older Honda.
Just go look at it

yup, two bolts up top under the hood, two bolts behind the bumper cover below the headlight facing the side of the car, two bolts at the very bottom of the fender, all the fender liner clips in the wheel well and 2 clips and a bolt you access through the gap between the door and door threshold. about a 20-30 minute process for a first timer. all the bolts are 10mm.
