!!!!! EBAY PARTS !!!!! are they legit?????
I'm on budget and can't spend TOO much on car parts, but I have enough to buy parts (hopefully for cheaper than retail). Like apexi n1 exhaust sytems, ground control coilovers, side markers, window visors, etc.
So I was wondering...
Are Ebay parts legit or are they pretty cheap and stupid to even think about buying off of?
thaaaaaaaanks for your input.

I've bought many things off of EBAY, 100% of them real OEM parts at a decent price.
If you're looking to spend money on real parts, you can find them on EBAY, but only a small small percent will actually carry the real deal.
If you decide to buy it, here's some tips.
1.) Look at the pictures and read all fine print.
anything that says "style" is most likely a replica
look at the pics to state it's authenticity
2.) Look at the feedback, and read the negatives. Find someone that bought the same item that you are looking at and ask them a question. "Was what you got the real deal?"
3.) Most of the sellers selling JDM parts, are located in Asia, so check the shipping cost before bidding.
Good luck, hope this helps you.

I usually just price match parts on ebay to vendors on forums, like on here. some vendors give forum members a little discount.
like mentioned before, read the fine print and the feedback.

Well if you buy apexi n1 exhaust or ground control coilovers from ebay, I doubt it would be any different than buying it somewhere else unless its used or something... Its not like eBay is a separate realm where apexi is an eBay made product or something...
Now if your talking about generic parts in general being sold on eBay then you have to be careful about quality, but thats just generic parts in general...
You guys speak like eBay makes parts themselves or something
its just a place for people to sell stuff... Depends on who you buy from and what they are selling...

Like said before you get what you pay for, and buying the same exact thing from ebay is no different then buying somewhere else (cheaper on ebay usually). Just go to the seller feedback and read it first to see what others think. I've spent thousands on ebay, i've pieced my turbo kit from there, got my act clutch from there, pistons rods the whole deal.
some ebay dealers are actually authorizied E-dealers so if you are curious go to the actual vendor for example skunk 2 go to there web site and check out there authorized dealers on the web as well as there local dealers
wowow...
haha thanks a lot to all you guys. i think it helped out a lot and gave me an idea of what to look out for.
i guess it's time to start buying parts and putting my car together.
i'll probably have a Build Thread later on, so hope you guys stay posted.

Like said before, check feedback ratings. Try to buy from sellers that have been on Ebay for a while and have a lot of sales. They will probably be more likely to have better stuff and better customer satisfaction. I have bought no name stuff and name brand stuff. I picked up a set of Skunk2 springs for $50 less than retail. I also bought some no name lighting, the headlights and corners were perfect but i had lots of problems with the fogs, I wouldnt recomend the seller (4CarOption), but again you get what you pay for.
