Default missed a downshift could valve float occur?

so anyways i feel like a retard posting this i was downshifting into third on the highway doing 100 kms and sometimes my ep3 doesnt shift the smoothest so i went for third and hit first and the tires screetched and i went holy [freak] and shoved the clutch back and having no rev limiter when u dont shift i prolly hit 9000 rpm is there anything other than valve float that could occur for damage i havnt herd any knocking and ticking yet god i feel stupid lol
