2000 PY ITR bought from Auction. No title. Last owner was from North Carolina/South Carolina
I'm thinking about buying this ITR from a guy I know who bought the car at auction.
It is a 2000 PY ITR. The last owner was from North Carolina, South Carolina. It has no title, it was bought with a bill of sale for "parts only".
The last six of the vin are 003887. If anyone knows who owned this car, PLEASE let me know.

Get him to part it out, and let me get the door and front bumper/lip.

That is very depressing. I'm sure my old LS looks just like that, but probably upside down in a ditch somewhere.

That looks like a nice shell to pick up. Track duty only though with no title...you might be able to get around it and have a title issued if you are creative though!
Not sure how it works in TN but in Washington state you are able to file for a lost tittle which takes about 2-3 weeks to get and costs a little bit of money. I think al you need to do is have the bill of sale notorized and send it in to the DMV or state patrol. But if the car is deemed as a parts car only I am not sure what you can do in order to re register it. Maybe a recreational or kit car. Good luck

If that doesn't work, do a mechanic's lien.

Does look like the body is in great shape. Probably just missing the motor, suspension, and interior.
apart from the obvious missing parts that looks like a REALLY clean example
perfect track car canadate
somebody was even curtious enough to get the interior prepped for cage install too

Wow. On blocks... literally.
Looks fairly clean and it even seems that the front lip hasn't even been removed.
Build it up!

I would love to see more pictures when you get it. It looks to still have the carpet and exhaust....wondering what else they left behind for you. If they didn't even get the wing, I bet there is more there than we realize. That is a light strip...rebuild it or I will pick it up

Chris, that PY looks like an easy fix. That is all just from the pictures though. Give me a call and let me know if you pick this up. We can help each other out together on our rebuilds.

Should bring it back ! </TD></TR></TABLE>
Ya reebs is selling it.
I seen the car yesterday and it is a clean body and fairly straight. It has been in 4 accidents though. I ran a carfax on it. The radiator support was replaced, the passenger side frame rail looks to be bent a little.
The car has been completely stripped. Interior is ALL gone. Everything is gone. The carpet is in there and clean, but thats the easiest part lol.
I'll see what I can do about a title. I've talked to a few people and the DMV and they all said NO title, don't even think about buying it.
So I'm kinda leaning against it right now.

It is an easy fix, but as far as the title goes, it would be useless because if i were to get a title, it would be a reconstructed title.

It looks good in pictures, but between the title issues and 4 accidents and bent frame, its not such a great deal. I'm thinking about it, but the more research I do, the more it looks like I will be stuck with a overpriced R with no title or a reconstructed title at at best.
Team Lazy copy/paste of post I made in Reebs FS thread.

Can't believe they took the dash but not the wing or lip. BTW, based on the last 4 digits of the VIN on the windshield, heR badge number is probably 00-0889. If not, it's 00-0890.
Hmmmm no title is actually better than a salvage title in NY

I haven't come across this caR prior to Reebs ad. Sucks about your DMV. As bad as NY is...there is actually a process to title a bill of sale only car. GL in your decision

I don't see why this is such a big deal with a lost title? What you need to do is put a lein on the car and within 30 days the car will be the new owner. Go to the dmv with your lein paper work and you'll be issued a title in your name.
