Default gas problem

hey guys my sister 2000 civic dx is having some gas problems. last night i pumped a full tank in her car took it to the beach and back which was like 90 miles. the needle on the cluster didnt go down at all and i know for a fact she cant get 90 miles a gallon. so i pumped again today and i only pumped 1.4 gallons and it was like 6 bucks. so i dont know whats wrong with the tank any ideas?

Gas gauges are weird sometimes. Just drive it for a while without pumping and keep an eye on the gas level to see if theres actually something wrong with it.

I pumped a full tank in my ride the other day reset my odometer, and i **** you not, my gas needle as it sits now is a hairline under the full marker after already being driven 80 miles.. and sadfully when i usually am at about a half tank the needle seems to drop faster.

this is one thing i know for a fact cause i have owned many different models that honda makes. when you fill your car up it will stay at the full line for a while and slowly go down. then when your getting to going under a half your gas goes fast. i personally think its cause of the way the tank is shaped. larger at the top and then smaller at the bottom

Same here, my EH2 would go 80-100 miles sometimes before the needle would move and below half a tank the needle would move like the tank had a leak.
