Ever see that FF Option Video? Where they show that guy with the red EF, all beat up, a torn up Bride seat with a blanket as the cushion, rusted pea shooter muffler, rusted Sus, *** dragging his way around the circuit. FockinFunny! But that dude had some skill. Still that whole thing looked wrong.

That is the Jamex Civic that they built a few years ago, I have it one of my SCC mags from like 99 or so. It's a Euro-spec Civic (Jamex being a Dutch-based company), done up in the "American style", running some CRAZY turbo boost pressures. You can't really tell in the pics, but they made some extra holes in the stock front bumper cover for more air flow. The wheels are TSW Venoms (VX-1 in America). I remember reading the first time they let some journalists take it for a spin, it was putting down around 350hp, and somebody broke something on it. Later they turned the boost down to get a more tame ~250-280hp. Sorry my details are sketchy, I'm just going from memory of when I read the article. If I have time this evening I can try to find the article and post more info. I don't know anything about its suspension, but I have seen plenty of FWD cars do that around tight corners w/o using the e-brake, just because the rear suspension was so stiff. If anyone wants to know more about the car, let me know.

 

funny.. ive watched an explanation on an option video.. so i know the basic idea.. plus a couple years ago, when i found a love for the drift, i would take every rainy day and go pull ebrake turns.. i did like 12 of them perfectly.. but 1 got the best of me.. and also got my whole car fixed for $200 out of my pocket..but that was cool how you tried to make a funny.. good one pal.. spoon it up..

 

ive seen that car in a magazine like3 or 4 years ago i think it was maxpower mag.. taht car is old school....its a turbo dx engine

I really don't think it was an intentional drift... like I said I'm sure the rear suspension is pretty stiff and the rear end just kinda stepped out around the corner.... ITR's or cars w/ ITR rear sway do it all the time.

yeah im sure.. i rember it had the throttle body facing upwards. if i rember correct.. but hey anyways i like your wheels.. ive seen you post pics of your car before i like them pretty cool..

 

when done in a rwd car it's just sick wheels constantly spinning about 10MPh faster than the front ones.. awesome stuff.

it shows that you're really an initial D fan.. and people give you a new found respect because they know you're JDM.. i know people who drift, and people who grip..and people who do both..they say its just really fun to drift.. i dont remember hearing anyone say "i drift so i can look cool" . but if i hear it, i'll post that **** quick for you..

 

Didn't "drifting" get it's beginnings on the rally course? On dirt and snow, drifting IS the fastest way around a corner.

 

Um, no it's not.

Maybe on dirt, but not on concrete.
