Default civic dx rev limiter

I am just wondering if there ia an easy way to adjust or eleminate the rev limiter in a 1989 civic dx .
I use the car as a stock car and about three quarters of the way down the back stretch the rev limiter is hitting if I could just get a few hundred rpm more out of it it would greatly help.
if anyone can help it would be appriciated.

socket and chip your ecu, then get a tuning program such as crome to turn up the revv limit. Mine right now is at 7022rpm...with the mighty B7, it goes like stink.

Not with the stock DPFI ecu. There is currently ZERO support for them. You'd have to upgrade to a MPFI setup ($50-75) and go with something like BRE or TurboEdit.
