(((((((((My EG Vs. NSX/M3/E30 M3/ETC.--- Lapping Day ---- VIDEO & PICS!!!)))))))))
Got bored, so decided to edit some footage from the last HPDE/Lapping Day @ Pacific Raceways!
Track: 2.25 Miles long, 150ft elevation change + Nice Washington State weather = Good ol' fashion fun at the Track!
Overall, the day was great! The heat overwhelmed my falken azenis rt-615s which started to "grease" up during the last part of my sessions. That equated to great variance in lap times. However, that was expected. I'm still honing my skills with this new setup before I make the jump back to r-comps.
*New upgrades for this event: Bigger Cusco front strut bar, C&R Full Size Radiator

FOOTAGE!
(Something I want to get out of the way.....Just a quick note to first time drivers to the track. HPDEs/Lapping Days are <U>not</U> races or 'time attacks.' They are venues to help hone your performance driving skills!)
Enjoy

Thanks! Eh, I'm still really rough around the edges...I've still got TONS to learn even though I've been tracking for 2.5yrs.

Hahaha...I think I'll likely do 1-2 more events on azenis before I bump back to some r-comps. There's just so much more I'm learning about the car with the new setup at each event, and me as a driver.
What event are you going to attend next?

I love your red DC! Take it out there, and use that as your baseline to tune the car for road course. You'll probably be surprised how much "less" tuning you'll need to do
BTW...Is that a spoon lip on your 94-97 front end? Luv it

LOL..thanks broski! Good eye...I actually missed the apex by about 4-5 feet while I was chasing the Miata.....my car was drifting way too wide during the corner exit at full throttle!! I had to lift a bit because I almost dropped my front right wheel!!!
I hit the apex fine whan I was chasing the M3, but had to reduce my corner exit arc so I could pass...haha
When are you gonna come out again? Been awhile homes. Miss seeing the EK!

how much do these events cost and how long.. whole day, half day event?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Around here, they are typically around the $200-$275 for the whole day (7am-5pm). I noticed you're in Cali. You've got A LOT of tracks to choose from! Check with your local tracks to see when they hold their events
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Mr Knee »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">haha ive only been out to bremerton for a few porsche club autox days. Is pacific pretty harsh on the brakes?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Eh, definitely a lot harsher than the bremerton track. The harshest time you use them is when you're coming down the front straight. Typically, depending how fast your car is...you'll be going 125-130mph, then SLAMMING your brakes hard to slow down to aroun ~80mph

That's where all the action happens! 150ft of elevation change back there, and a handful of very technical turns.
