Will tires fit? SIR RIMS
Hi,
I just picked up some Si (Can SiR) rims and didn't check the sizes, anyways I want to replace my old Si rims and the tire size is 205/50/15... the new ones however are 185/65/15... my car is lowered 1.7" all around and there is about a one finger gap between the rear tires and quarter panel.... Will these new (185/65/15)s rub???
Thanks for any help

Your questions can't be answered unless we know what kind of car (model, version, year) the wheels and tires are on. Care to share?
Also, if you already bought the wheels and tires, why don't you just try them on and see for yourself?

lol sorry my car is a 2000 SiR (US Si).... I haven't had time to put them on... Im pretty sure they will fit in the wheel well, however while driving is when I'm worried they will rub badly and wreck the tires... Also my question would be, is 185/65/15 a normal size tire to put on Si rims??? It seems too big to me?
The USIM 2000 Civic Si came with 195/55-15 tires from the factory. Assuming yours did too, then you're correct; 185/65-15 is a full inch (4.4 percent) larger in diameter than the stock size. They might rub; that's a significant difference in diameter, although the narrower width will give a bit more clearance. You could always try it, and if they rub, sell the tires and get either 195/55-15 or 205/50-15, either of which should work fine. If they don't rub, heck, they're basically free tires, you may as well use them up...
