I got into a minor accident (no body damage at all) and my airbags deployed. i dont want to get rid of my teegy but the dealership wants 2000 to install the air bags (including parts). i was wondering if their is any problem with buying airbags from ebay cause their like 200 dollars at most. any other sugggestions on what to do would be very appreciated.

 

Dang Dude I Would Say Stay Away From eBay Stuff When It Comes To Safety. The Airbags Couldnt Deploy And Thats A Life. I Would Say Find The Cheapest In Your Area? Good Luck Man.

 

Or You Could Be A Die Hard And Ride Without Any Airbags Lol.

You need to replace the airbag (SRS) computer as well. Check local yards or seek a part-out.

The problem with Ebay is the shipping. The airbag inflator is considered an explosive. This must be disclosed to the shipping company to be legal.
