Default Toda Spec C or Jun 3 cams?

well here it is. I pretty much narrowed it to the two cams I'm deciding to run. my setup is currently

b18c
85 12:1 85mm pistons
headgames port and polish head.

pretty much everything that is needed to run either one of these cams. but which one would yield more power for my setup? would the toda's have a very lopey idle?

Out of these 2 cams i would say toda c and i love the jun 3 but the truth is toda makes more power i have tested them both first hand. But Skunk 2 Pro 3 will give you the most power out of any cam you can buy on the market right now besided custom grind. Is this for a DD setup. If you want PM me and i'll help you out

I must have missed the part where the Toda C's made less power on the motor with the infamous and omnipresent graph.

My honest opinion.

Jun3's always deliver results. They make power in any motor you throw them in, I've never once seen them "dissapoint."

Now, that doesn't mean they can't be "beat." Rocket beat them with M22x's. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you do the Jun3's, you're gonna make solid power. However, the Toda C's have the potential to make more power. B19coupe has had great success with the Toda C.

because its my second car and i love to take it out on nice days. every once in a while i'd take it to the track. i just can't stand it idling lopey when i had very aggresive cams on my old sohc motor. i had it daily for 10k miles and got really annoying

Well pro 3's are huge cams compared to the two you listed but if you want cams that don't "lope" and make great power, you'd be left with cams like Jun 3, S2S2, RM22x etc.. Pro 2's won't lope either and make good power on your build but you'd need to have them installed correctly for safety and power. I would go with the Pro's over the Toda's but both are excellent cams.

Seriously. Looking at the specs of Pro 3's I can believe they are recommended in every other thread...

I think you would be fine going either way, but I, like most people in this thread, am not an expert. I say buy both and do a comparo haha.

Pro series cam makes good power, but they are rocker pad eaters... i have had pro 1 and pro 2 before and mostly on the exhaust side rocker pads and cam lobe wears out... Ask BearsEK in here, hes got Pro3 cams in his 95mm storker motor, it ate up his rocker pads too!!
