Default need help code 6

hey people im in need of help badly i just finished a auto to manual swap on the lude and the cel is it shows code6 bwhicjh is the ect at first the coolant gauge didnt work so i swap out the the gauge senso and it work but the cel wouldnt go away i clear and i comes right back then my car starts to flacuate on the idle so from what i know it is a cooolant temp sensor but which one someone please help. thanks in advance. oh yea i also have no vtec anymore it wont engage. i want it run good for tommorow is test and tune in my town and i wanna see what i run with my car =being manual

Sounds like you need to replace the ECT sensor or check your wiring. ECT sensor will cause flucuation in the idle. That will also cause VTEC not to engage as the ECU needs the proper signal from the ECT to adjust a/f properly and so it knows that engine is at correct operating temp to engage VTEC.

got it fixed, one of the sensor has a broken wire, rewire it , then we had another cel it code 41, found out that it wasnt connected. plug it in, no cel lights. the car is done, runs strong vtec pulls hard with the skunk2 valvetrain . thanx for the help in here.

now i can upgrade more because 5 speed now.
