Default JRSC in 96 GSR, is the sc pulley normaly really close to master cylinder?

Just installed my JRSC into my 96 DC2. Its a b18c1 in a 96 LS chassis. The pulley seems really close to the master cylinder, is this normal? Thanks.

mine in my gsr was very very close as well, with my stock mounts it would sometimes rub, i think i had a bad rear mount though, I upgraded to hasport mounts and it solved my prob mostly, but i still ended up putting a small washer on one side between the master cylinder and brake booster to space it away from the s/c pulley a little bit.

The easiest fix for this problem is to just get a smaller blower pulley, it will give u some more clearance as well as giving u a little more boost

Cool, thanks for the reassuring post. I have new hasport mounts so I should be ok.

I'm getting ready to install a JRSC in my 2000 GSR with a new motor all stock other then ITR pistons and 4 into 2 into 1 header and cat back. also going with a stage 1 clutch. I'm not sure if I want to just run the 6lb pulley or if I want to move up to the biger pulley at 9lbs if I go with the biger pulley will I need a tune and how much more WHP will it give me? I have been looking for info on WHP output with b18c / JRSC but I'm not finding much info. my goal is 225 WHP

This is a daily driver that I want to be dependable. but have some fun with.

Thanks,

Wth the 9lb pulley and a tune you should be well over 225 whp. My friend had a 9lb pulley on his and fully tuned was putting out somewhere in the neighborhood of 270-280 whp. He had basic mods and a hondata.
