Default looking at an 00 ap1. couple q's

first. since its an 00 it should have the shitty plastic window, but it has the glass window, F ya! im in ontario canada and the dealer thats selling it brought it up here from florida so they dont know who did the install. but what im wondering is, after the plastic to glass conversion is done, does the glass usually tap against the back of the plastic covers behind the seats? or does that mean that its either the wrong roof, or maybe the wrong frame?
also, when you have the drivers door closed, you can pretty much see straight through the two roof seals that meet right above the drivers side window. would replacing those seals correct that, or is the roof out of alignment? theres a bunch of silicone around them like they tried gluing them on or something, instead of installing them in the channels.

second. when i was driving it, it would turn to the right with a normal amount of steering effort, but when you turn the left, it felt like you had to apply twice as much force to the wheel. does that sound like there could be something up with the rack or even the eps system

last question. where is the starter. i think it needs one, cuz everytime you start it, the engine fires right up, but the starter runs on for a second after making a buzzing sound.

thanks for you help

sounds like trouble, about the glass conversion it does sound kinda home-made and not the complete glass top+frame conversion.. for the steering, that is not normal at all lol... how cheap is it? it MIGHT be worth it if you get a great deal on it

That sounds like a great deal If you like spending $4,000 to fix a car you just bought.

i was talking to the guy again lastnight and he was telling me that the lowest that he would go would be 12000. so with the cost of all the other stuff (rack 1300, starter 300 and various seals), im walking away from this one and going to keep looking. thanks for all your input though

1200$ and what you have described...

No way in hell is this a good deal. Even if the steering was the ONLY problem. Keep on looking bro, don't rush into buying one. I was in the market for one for about 6 months and finally found the right deal for me
