so ive tried changing the fuel filter, taking out the cat tune up and my car still wont rev or really do anything when i give it a lil throttle. it pops and sputters out the intake like its starving for fuel in the top end or pretty much when im trying to excellerate. what could this be some kind of sensorf or relay.. oh i have no engine light and i tried jumping the computer and theres no recent codes help help help

 

Not shure. Maybe a throttle positioning sensor (TPS) Could be a mass airflow sensor (MAF) Need scan tool to check TPS sensor readings.

 

thanks i am trying to find a scan tool tomorrow ... if i dont have a check engine light will it still tell me whats wrong

 

A scan Tool might not tell you exactly whats wrong without a code,but you can go in a read all the readings on most of your sensors, and you can see which ones are off , or not where they need to be.

 

I had the same problem with 97 Nissan sentra. I took spark plugs out, they were really bad. I changed the spurg plugs, now the car is running great.

 

You might also want to try giving it a dose of fuel system cleaner. Maybe the fuel injectors are gummed up and its not spitting enough fuel into the engine. Try that first before you waste your money on something else.
