best street bike to complement my RC
The RC51 is essentially a track only bike these days and I want to get something for around town and to and from work. Catch has to be it'd need to be something I wouldn't have much desire to track. Best idea is probably a 1000cc i4 of some sort but I'm looking to see if there's some more ideas. ok... Go!

i sat on one the other day. it's pretty wide, but you should be used to that with the RC. it's not light either, but who cares. BRUTAL TORQUE

All have got at least 1000cc (or close), commanding riding position for seeing over cages, and enough capability to turn the wick up on twisty bits. You need a pimp bike to go with a pimp RC.
Yes I've got a hard-on for pseudo supermotards.

Another rc51, you won't need to take it to the track because you allready have
a track bike. And you can always use spare parts they would be right there.

1. its a BMW
2. the suspension is on "fun" not "track", comfy but sporty
3. $9,000 OTD
4. its a BMW
5. good mileage, great warranty.
6. probably more of a chick magnet, starbucks parka' than my 1098. honest.
my friend has one and its a real nice bike, reminds me of my old SV650. the suspension isn't really adjustable up front but hold its own on the curves and the clutch is light enough for traffic/stop and go. i really like this bike and may consider one if i were to sell my other bike. it really is a bare bones, no non-sense, perfect motorcycle.

save money? not so... just miss riding more often... not particularly thinking of a new bike as used is cheaper and I could pay in cash most likely. I have considered a 'tard of some sort though.

I don't think I could leave an SV stock and I'd be too tempted to take that to the track. The ability to easily modify it is so high and for relatively cheap. I've thought maybe a z1000. The resale on those isn't too good. I've seen used good condition ones go for as low as like $3000

The absolute BEST street bike for you would be this hands down.
I love the power and suspension for the street, for the race track.....definately not. And you already have a vtwin to take to the track.
