oil issues. please help

Default oil issues. please help

hey guys i have an 88std w/ the weak *** d15b1 in it. well i noticed when i start my car after it has completely cooled down that it takes like half a sec longer for the oil light to turn off. it never used to do that before. i checked my oi level and it was low. so i topped it off but still the same problem. any ideas???? i have a little oil moisture around the drain plug bt not dripping no puddles in my drive way. im not burning oil i started it could and warmed it up and reved it hard and no smoke, exhuast smell was normal for a 20 y/o motor. so any ideas help ?

[freak] it, its 20yrs old. As long as your oil pressure is not dropping whille you're driving or idling you should be o.k.

The oil is thinner when it is warm and it takes less time for the oil to be pumped throught the engine to the oil press. sensor when cold.

Im not sure what weight oil you are using but the climate doesn't change drastically in CA so don't run a heavy weight oil like 20-w50 and stick to a 10w-30 or a 5w-30.

Mine does that too I think but I don't think its a problem. When I change my oil I always make sure its level right in the middle of the two holes on the dipstick, I always use 10w30 also.
