85-88 crx parts
Is it possible to find enough CRX parts to keep one as a daily driver? I have gen I and II Taurus SHO's and they are getting harder to keep going. I always liked the CRX and with $$$$ gas it would be nice to have one now.
Thanks

All the OEM stuff is available from local parts stores, internet and dealers. Aftermarket stuff is a bit trickier to find, but Redpepper is a good site for starting your search.
Mad props for keeping the SHOs alive. In a weird Ford sort of way, they are cool.

85-87 is first gen and redpepper is your friend there.
88 is second and I think people get all hyped that they're rare. They're not. I was given one several months ago (91) and parted it out (nobody pays much for these parts), then cut up the shell for body panels for a friend restoring a B18 transplanted 91. He had previously owned another 91 and sold it for $600. I have an uncle with 2 91 Si's. 2nd gens are all over the place...... I hear the same song from fox body mustang guys. Heck....I can barely go outside my door without stepping on 12 of those things.
