trouble starting now after hondata s200
I had someone install the hondata s200, and now when my car is a little warmed up it does not want to stay running without my foot on the throttle. it only last for about 2 minutes then it works fine. when i go to my girlfriends house in the mountains vtec will not engage, is that cuz of altitude? i turned off the barometric sensor but that didn't help. oil pressure is good and brand new plugs and everything else works great. does anyone have any ideas cuz i am stuck. please help me.
That's caused by the ECU opening the EVAP purge control solenoid.
At cold ECTs the FITV is open enough to keep the engine ticking along normally (although quite rich). Without it open you bog.

yah that is what i was thinking too. He must have some sort of a base map on it. I know mine has a base map for a 400whp h22. However, my car won't be able to run on that base map

there is also a post startup option that should be engine coolant temperature based, but i do not know if s200 has that. everything i know is s300 based.
the cranking trim is just to get the motor started. If it cranks after one turn at all times, then nothing needs to be changed and he could even prolly remove some fuel during the cranking procedure.
do not turn off the baro pressure sensor.

my car was dyno tuned but not by an authorised dealer. iam going to take it to a shop that is near buy and have them tinker with it. i bought an msd ignition thinking that would help my problem a little bit, cuz it does run very rich at startup, i will probably have them re tune everything after that gets installed. any ideas on the vtec not engaging?
They could have set up VTEC by load and you're so high up that you don't meet that load threshold. But that's a stretch.
I doubt they'll be able to tune out the crap idle due to EVAP purge, as long as the EVAP purge hardware is setup "correctly".

Wait, are you saying that VTEC only doesn't work when you go to see your girlfriend? Obviously your car doesn't think you are putting out enough.
Check your o2 sensor and the spark plugs. s200 should have cold start and warm-up enrichment. It sounds like the o2 is failing and giving a low voltage signal and causing rich mixture. Check to see if you are throwing any codes and check the VTEC parameters in your hondata which could be causing limp-mode.
Also, seeing that you are from colorado, when did you have it tuned? If the temperature has changed drastically since then, it will change the a/f ratios. If it was tuned in the winter, you will be running richer than usual during the summer.
