hey everybody, I'm trying to order a new clutch!
they need to know if i have a S1 or YS1 transmission!
I dont see any stampings (its still in car ) i saw 1 sticker A1-xxxxxxx which i guess isnt the right code. There was no rivited plate like i have seen on other trannies.
the car is a 91 integra b18a1 it should be original motor/tranny i think (recently purchased).
Is this maybe in the VIN code?
I have looked in the FAQ thread, but nothing about how to find out.
Any help greatly appreciated!

how do you know that? i didnt even see an A1 listed in the FAQ board.
the JDM ones came with S1 or J1 and USDM came with S1 or YS1
was A1 an 89 -pre 89 trans?
i dont understand? how do you find out? there has to be some stamping or somthing, i work on cars for a living.

Go to G2ic.com. All kinds of info on 2nd gen tegs there (90-93) I searched the term "transmissions" and caame across this:

so i just read that link provided above. from what i get out of it is as long as the clutch i'm ordering is for a 90-91 i'm ok. Seems like this transmission is "rare".
Its a GS i guess that was top of the line, i dont think there was a GSR in 91.
stage 2 clutch, lightened flywheel. ( grip force special) stock motor. lol
The A1 transmission was not listed!
Funny thing is the stage 3 f1 clutch n flywheel in my buddies f23 turbo 18psi LSD ,hooks great , I know from experience, different pedal pressure which i liked.
Theres nothing like the feeling of boostn through second just tryn to get traction.
as far as the rpm at 70 , couldn't tell ya, its been month or two since i have drove it. its way different than the trans in my accord. it is very close geared compaired to mine, fun to drive though, it will walk all over a 97 civic d16 vtec, from a three honk at 60
