Default JDM integra hood latch vs 92-95 civic

would a hood latch from 92-95 civics fit in place of jdm teg one? from the pictures i can tell that they look identical

can any one confirm?

They look similar, but they're not. I noticed the hole for the bolt on the right hand side is a little lower for the teg than it is for the civic. Also, the tab where you have to push to release the hood is different too. Not sure if that will make a difference. It may line up ( I'm guessing ) when bolting it on, but I would either use the actual JDM latch, or if you can find one from a DA.

try a 90-93 da hood latch i might be wrong put i know a hood release for da works on jdm front (dc2) the cable

I know for a fact that you can use the civic one. i've seen it and i can verify that it works, I personally kept the JDM one and used a DA cable, but for the EG one it does work

the top locking part of the DA lock is a little smaller so it might not grab the hood to close. civic one looks almost identical besides that right hole being a little higher, but that's shouldn't be a problem

i already heard that people use DA cable since it's a little longer so i will probably end up doing the same. ill give it a try with a civic latch

i would like to announce that USDM DC integra latch fits to a JDM front perfectly fine; one modification has to be made, is to bend the release pedal to the opposite side
