1997 Prelude $2500 or best, needs trans, must be towed (Chicago Area)
It pains me to sell this car, but with a heavy heart I am offering our daily driver Prelude for sale.
It is a 1997 Honda Prelude Automatic Black/black int.(standard model-not SH)
The chassis has 166,700 miles. The transmission began to shift badly and we removed it for repair. Our transmission guy said our core is unrebuildable due to damage inside the case. We have been unsuccessful locating a donor core and sadly have given up... bought a replacement vehicle.
The OEM H22A is old and tired... it uses oil but still runs ok.
The body is straight, no dents or damage. Just a bit of surface rust at the rear wheel wells and a considerable amount around the key hole on the trunk lid.
The interior is IMMACULATE. The seats are still firm and supportive. I don't think I've ever driven a more comfortable Honda. These things are solid.
If you can locate a motor and trans to swap, this would be a great daily driver.
Somebody willing to part it out could easily make some money on it.
This vehicle needs to be towed or trailered from Schaumburg, IL (60193).
You must provide your own method of transport.
Asking price is $2500 or best offer.
