Temp guage acting crazy?? Or my engine super freezes!
One day I was driving my friend home and noticed that my temp guage was down at C while I was accelerating. The temp guage drops to cold when I go above 5,000 rpms-ish. Sometime's itll be around 4,000 RPM. As soon as I let go of the gas pedal or continue to drive normally, the guage returns to the normal temp. Has anyone ever had this happen? Basically the temp guage drops and fluctuates around the C when I rev high or accelerate hard once the car has reached optimum temp. I notice this the most on the expressway on the way home from school every day. I will post a youtube video in a few hours.
Here are 2 clips of it happening. Sometimes it will spaz or go below the C.

Sorry for all the noise, here in Florida it's HOT and I had the AC on full blast.

Will do that after engine cools down. Thanks

Chances are the temp sending unit under the distributor is going bad. It's a small sensor with a 12mm head to remove/install it, and has a single wire plug on it. It tells your temp guage what to read. Either the sensor is bad, or your gauge is going bad, or you've lost so much coolant that the sensor has none to read and show the gauge what to read.
What year/make/model is the car?

BTW I also meant to mention that the connection on the plug for the sensor could be loose too. It's very much like a cheezy bullet connector more so than an automotive plug like on other sensors. Looks the same as the connectors for the brake master cylinder float sensor sort of.
