Default Dry Ice as a Dent Remover

Anyone know about using Dry Ice to remove dents (specifically hail damage). I've heard about it and sorta want to try it out but don't really know much about it. I've got plenty of hail damage and am just sick of it but don't want to have to pay the $1000+ to fix it

It's not just dry ice. You can also use "canned air." You know those air duster things that people use to blow dust out of computers? It's not actually air of course, and if you hold it upside down when you spray you'll get a super-cold liquid rather than gas. Dry ice is colder though, so it might work better, but be sure to wear heavy gloves when handling it. It's very easy to give yourself frostbite.

As for dents, I've never tried it, but I've heard it works too. Unfortunately, I've heard it works much better on fresh dents, and maybe doesn't work at all on old damage.

I have some hail damage too on my Accord, probably the same storm system - it was the night of May 30th. Also knocked about ten holes into the side of my house but I have a $1,000 deductible on the house and $500 deductible on the Accord.

Anyway, the way it supposedly works is that you wait until an extremely hot sunny day, say in the 90s, then put dry ice onto the dent.

Although I have never tried this myself I have heard about this before. Some guys say it didn't work for them, and other have said it worked for them, but only until you let your car sit outside in the sun again then it pops back. I suppose you could try it if you want...but I would say don't get your hopes up...
