The p13 I'm under the impression, if your using vtec injectors or similar would run your car but no guarantees at all. You should get a programmable ecu and tune it though. If not I personally guarantee that you will net around 20-30 hp less I'm betting, than if it was properly tuned on a dyno by a good tuner. Even vtec engagement points can add horsepower at certain points in the powerband helping out huge on a regular h22 vtec.

If your shelling out all this money to do an h23 vtec build than don't cheap out on the ecu. Bottom line though for real and please take my advice. Get a p72 or similar (manual transmission ecu, if your going to manual transmission, otherwise i think its a p75 for automatic transmission, but whatever you decide buy the respective ecu for the proper transmission) and have it tuned. Its only going to add around 1000 dollars max, or you can cheap out and tune it yourself. You can even buy the ecu, the parts, a chip programmer and some chips and do it all yourself with the proper software and a computer with a usb port/Internet connection. For that you would only spend around 200 dollars if you go with freeware software ie.crome etc etc. but would have to learn the softwares interface (which isn't impossible, just takes lots of reading and practice)

Don't *** it up. Lots of us would kill to be in your apparent monetary situation

good luck
