Default timing belt and water pump

I have a 2004 Civic EX and my father just informed me that since I hit 62,000 miles I should have the timing belt replaced. The manual says it should be replaced at 110,000 miles along with the water pump. The first place we called said they would do it for $460 but we should also get the water pump done. Then we called three Honda dealerships and they all suggested that since we do not live in extreme temperatures we would be wasting our money to do it now.

Any suggestions?

That's the first time I've heard good advice from a dealer. They're right. 60k is premature. Do it at the 100k mark.
