Default JDM Gauge Cluster Question...

I'm planning on upgrading from the stock cluster in my 2000 DX to probley a JDM CTR cluster. I have heard that JDM clusters are more accurate than USDM ones because they read the RPM from the ignition system instead of an ECU signal. My question is, what if anything will i have to do when upgrading from my stock cluster to a JDM one to make the JDM cluster read the RPMs more accuratley?

I have never heard of them being more accurate.

But, if they are, and you are going to install it, it's all plug and play.
