Hatchback or Sedan exhaust onto a coupe
ok so im getting an exhaust for my ej1 and im mad confused. basically i have a couple questions.
1. how difficult is it to get a hatchback/sedan exhaust onto a coupe? i talked to a technician at buddy club cuz i like the way the spec IV looks and from what i could understand from his heavy japanese accent the sedan fits the best with modifications to the hangers and a custom cat/test pipe.
2. do all exhausts for the 96-00 coupes fit on the 92-95 coupes? some list as they do and then others just dont mention it.
maybe i shouldn't have been a dumass and just bought a hatchback
and i searched this but got nothing of value. figured id take from peoples experiences.

i havent bought an exhaust yet. im thinking about the spec IV and i also like the apexi noir exhaust but those only come for the hatchback or the sedan so im trying to see how difficult it will be to modify one of those to fit the coupe. if anyone has any experience doing this it would be greatly appreciated.
If you plan on modifying one, you would be better off starting with a 4 door exhaust on your coupe. The hatchback has some bends a little different on the midpipe and the muffler is VERY short. The sedan, I think the only problem you may run into will be the tailpipe may not come all the way to the edge of the bumper; this is an easy fix as your exhaust shop could just put a piece of pipe to extend the muffler back if need be.
