hey guys my muffler is rusted and makin funny sounds and 2-3 places it is welded from tip just the last big part is russted and near the screws it is now leaking rest of thign is new ( i jsut bought car 3 months ago) i want to change muffler which one should i buy ?? or should i go to muffler shop and tell them to change it and pay them 200$ canadian(near toronto iam) and they install what ever they want a so please guide me thanks in advance//
tell me some names of muffler i dont want loud ones and
as well megna flow and flow master are loud mufflers i think (dont like those)

 

well you could really just go to a local auto parts store and order a muffler, i got an OE muffler for my car at a auto zone for 40(sits in my garage still in box, never used). then probably go to a exhuast shop to bend you a pipe. if you ask them to bend you a pipe, it will be much, much cheaper than buying a already bent piping for your car. i remember long ago when i first got my car i was qouted 250 for a pre-bent piping for my car but was quoted 60 for them to bend me a pipe.

what is stock muffler ???

 

"stock" refers to the orginal parts that were put on your car when it was first assemblied. so a stock muffer would just be a regular accord muffler
