88 Teg - ZC swap
Hey, I thought I'd post this in here because alot of people use the ZC engine in here. I bought an 88 Integra off of a friend. The valves are bent because he forgot to change the timing belt, so I'm trying to decide what to do. I'm probably going to get the ZC engine, but I haven't been able to find much about mating it to the gen 1 tegs. From what I understand, it's basically the same engine that's in there right now. I also read that there are basicallly three ZC engines - DOHC black valve cover, SOHC, and DOHC brown valve cover. Is the DOHC black valve cover the best to get? Has anyone done this swap? Any info would be appreciated.
they are about the same engine
the 88 teg has 118 hp. the black top ZC has about 135 hp. thats the engine you want. no need to change the wiring, and just use the stock integra mounts, axcles, shift linkage, etc.
OR, you can do the about post

Wait, I thought that the Teg ZC was compatible with the 1st Gen CRX, but you had to get mounts for the 2nd, and the JDM ZC swaps right into the 2nd gen...I'm confused....so how can you swap a JDM ZC into a teg without mounts?
ok some of you guys are confusing terminology here...
