Hey people. I'm trying to find a transmission for an '89 Mazda 323 GTX 1.6L Anyone know where I could find one? Any Mazda websites like hondamarketplace.com?

since that car is rare, it might be a problem to find a tranny for it. just search google for mazda forums. and try junkyards

 

Yeah, thats what I have been doing. I found one for a 323 but no luck for a GTX one. Thanks thou

 

Sweet car! I almost bought one once. Unless the case is completely busticated you may be better off getting it rebuilt. If the case is shot, you may want to start looking at some Japanese auction sites because I know they were a lot more common over there and I think the same tranny also came in AWD Turbo Protoges and Familias over there, not to mention the later 323 GTR.

I don't have pics. I was looking for my boyfriend. His dads friend has one and he wanted to buy it for rally cross but he said if he didn't find a transmission for it that he wasn't going to buy it.
