2002 Honda Accord SE wont stay idle
I have a 2002 Honda Accord SE. This am I tried to start up my car and it wont stay idle. I have to keep my foot on the gas to have the engine run and when i let go of the gas it dies down. I replaced the battery earlier this year and have new spark plugs and wires. Can anyone assist?
First does it have a mass air flow sensor on it. If so try unplugging it. If it runs better or stays idling its probably a bad mass sensor. If so sometimes you can clean them with some break clean. If not then check you idle air control motor some where on the upper intake, near throttle body. Take it out and see how dirty it is. Hear again you might be able to clean it, put it back on and try to run again. Also so see if your computer is throwing a check engine light. Could help you with diagnostic.
