Default Engine, D15B7 to D15B

would this be a good swap? my current engine is near 200k miles, and this one is new, both engines are the 1.5L but the D15B has Vtec,

would my tranny meet up with it?

is this a recommended swap?

Its a good swap for a budget, your trans will mate to it just fine.

Hell yeah do it. Trash that d15b7 and get the Jdm D15B. You'll definately notice a diffirence believe me I did the same thing. All you will have to do is wire up the vtec. And yes your tranny will bolt on but, I recommend you to get a ex/si tranny with it so it speeds up fast. With the d15b7 tranny (lx tranny) the gears are long *** hell. Believe me I did the same and then later swapped out my tranny for an si one. So might as well do it all at once so you don't end up working on it twice. Oh yeah and you'll need a chipped ecu or a p28 ecu for the Vtec.
