95 accord ex. well fella this is my problem, the gasket on my pulley for a/c compressor took a crap on me and when i drive the car i can smell the metal to metal contact coming from the pulley. so now i believe/think i need a new a/c compressor or a new gasket. so i was wondering if there is a way i can just bypass the pulley until i buy a new compressor. reason being is that the belt wraps around 2 other pulley's as well as the a/c compressor and i was thinking if i bought a shorter belt and wrap it around the 2 pulley's would it work???? because i doubt the a/c compressor has anything to do with the turning of the other pulley highly doubt it....please help

Yes there is a shorter belt that is available for that engine.
When you shop for the belt you are looking for the ALTERNATOR belt for a 95 Accord DX model with NO A/C.
From your description of the problem it sounds as if the A/C clutch bearing has gone bad and that will not require a complete compressor replacement.

 

so will this damage my engine if i get the shorter belt?

 

No, you will just drive the alternator, and not the ac, as you wanted.
