NONE of them are fast, and ALL of them are reliable
to clarify this more, it depends on how well the car was, and will be taken car of. saying any car that is 10 years old is reliable without seeing it and driving it is impossible. they are all made from the same parts man.

I'm doing this from memory so forgive me if I leave a few things out.
There are 4 trim levels of 1992-1995 civic hatches sold in the US.
CX - 70hp 8 valve 1,5L SOHC non-VTEC engine, 13'' steelies, basic model, bottom of the line. 10 gallon gas tank, very tall gearing = good fuel economy and range. It is slow, very, very slow though. It's actually painfully slow. 1992 only models came with hard vinyl interior, not cloth. 93-95 had cloth seats.
VX = second model up from CX with 92hp VTEC-E SOHC 1.5L engine. 13'' alloys for light weight. This was Honda's most fuel efficient model, so it added some stuff to raise fuel economy like an air diffuser that covers up a huge gap where the fuel filler neck is, the super sipper VTEC-E engine, and same CX tall-geared tranny. VX added a tachometer also.
Both CX and VX weigh the same 2094lbs. as they rolled off the factory assembly line. They are the lightest 92-95 Civics, so they are popular platforms to build a project car upon because they are cheap and light. Both were only offered in manual transmission. Also noteworty is neither of these came with side moldings.
DX = 102hp 1.5L non-VTEC SOHC engine. The DX was the "nicer" model from Honda which added int. wiper feature, rear wiper/washer, more sound deadening, larger 11.9 gallon fuel tank, and was the only model with an option for an auto tranny. They did not have a tach though. 5-speed trannies had shorter gearing than the CX/VX model. Auto only versions also added power steering.
The DX manual is much quicker than the CX/VX model, but many would say it's still not very fast.
Si = top of the line, sport model with 125hp 1.6L SOHC VTEC engine and shortest geared 5-speed tranny. No auto option. The Si offered DX features plus 4-wheel disc brakes, 14'' steel wheels with styled covers, power moon roof, cruise control, tachometer, Si-specific nicer cloth seats, and front sway bar. It also had the 11.9 gallon tank. Also had power steering. also had power mirrors.
The Si was the heaviest model due to the moon roof and rear discs, but it was also the best handling and fastest out of the bunch when stock.
If you're swapping an engine into any of them they'll all be pretty close in speed, but remember lighter = faster/quicker.
Again I'm shooting from memory, so forgive me if I ommited anything major.

Ha well if I could only reprogram my stupid brain to remember [i]important/i] stuff like school-related studies rather than Honda engine codes, trim levels/features, year model changes, etc. etc.
I quit college after 2.5 years because I hated school, but yet I happen to program my brain with all of this Honda crap - shows me that my brain works, but I just choose to learn what I want to learn.
