Default Check this mpg out and mroe help if you would please.

okay Ill give you my car and rebuild of it.

1990 Civic Sedan DX
JDM Stockie D15B non vtec
New Distibutor
New alternator
New Timing Belt
4-2-1 megan Header
Megan Test Pipe
(Dont do this Ever) Staight pipe all the way back after
Added Autozone Special 3A Racing Muffler (Still too loud)
Ebay Special intake, saved ten dollars and got a suzuki aerio intake and trimmed it
New fuel filter
New battery
8lb Fidanza Flywheel and stage "1" (stock) clutch
New 02 sensor
All tie rods and ball joints

yes I put alot of money into the car but hey its a honda. BTW no rust at all.

15" Rota X-cross with candy lip qith Kumho Ecsta AST's inflated to 36 psi cold.

Now i drive exactly 197 miles everyday. I have a brand new cobalt (blah [freak]in blah garbage) so i know the mileage is correct and not off on the honda. plus my gps is matched correctly with my speedo. So there are no calibration issues with the shocker number im gonna give you

After all this garbage was done to the car I drove it on a couple trip and got some numbers, along with my work drive.

My last MPG way 47 MPG. FORTY-SEVEN.

Now. Since i have gotten this much greed has reard abound. Can i get more?

i was wondering is crome would be able to touc hthis 0bd0 ECU. maybe throw a resistor somewhere. Im waiting on this Hydro thread to be complete. Or shoudl ijsut leave it alone. i have seen people get 54 mpg in a Crx. Dont bash me pleez.

47 is nothing to be ashamed of, but there is also no shame in wanting more. However, you won't be able to chip your ecu with crome, it's an OBDI program.

If it doesn't have carbs or vtec then it's not jdm.

i have a 91 crx si with a rebuilt (i think) d16 and my tranny busted so i threw in a hf tranny that i had around and it has much longer gears and i was getting 47 around town. i never calibrated it on the highway but you could imagine it was in the 50 something.. at 70 mph i was at 1700 rpm or so.. but now i have a c5 in it so those days are over.

Yeah, i get about the same in my crx, maybe a bit higher (around 55 was the last i calculated). The only thing you can really do to get better mileage outside of swapping major parts (tranny, like someone mentioned earlier) is doing a tune up, spark plugs, wires, dizzy cap. Run some injector cleaner through the car. Should see your mpg go up a little.

Yes he has a jdm motor but that doesn't mean you can't run them without the carbs.

My hatch has a d15b in it with the stock dpfi manifold on it
