Default Intermittent TDC and crank angle code

Ok let start off by saying HT is awesome and Ive answered a ton of my questions by just using the search button. including my swap troubleshooting and even non honda related subjects haha.

This is my crx, shes ugly but i LOVE her

Now on to my problem. I installed a DOHC ZC and did the mpfi wiring. when I start the car up cold It hesitates real bad unless im at WOT. I was told this has to do with the TDC sensor. also Ill be driving down the road half throttle and the car will backfire a few times then shut off. I try to start it back up and nothing. If I wait a few minutes and crank her up shell start right up. sometimes shell be in limp mode for a little untill she shuts off again then all is well, but with codes 4 and 8. also when it backfires the RPM gauge will jump around.

the thing that I dont get is that its so random when it happens. theres no pattern and theres nothing I can do to make this happen. I checked all the wires and theres no loose connections. I hate that it fixes itself then comes back.

Im guessing I need a new dizzy but what could make this so intermittent and random? when the CEL is gone this thing runs ***** to the wall.

I took a pic of the dizzy and theres no powdery buildup. also This motor has fairly low mileage what are the chances of me getting it with a bad dizzy?

TIA for any help

...For DOHC engines such as the ZC

-Connect the C1 wire to the blue/green wire on the Cylinder Position Sensor (a sensor on the exhaust cam of the ZC).
-Connect the C2 wire to the blue/yellow wire on the CPS.

did you try this??

Ok update, so Im on my way home everything is ok, then the CEL comes on. so it starts to act up backfiring, the rpm gauge going crazy, loss of power, then she shuts off like the usual. I go to crank it and she doesn't want to start but with a few sputters.

So My friend is in the car and I tell him to go check for spark while I crank it. It was turning over without spark until it sputters, then I get spark and then it goes away. after a little bit she starts back up then I limp home with a MAP sensor code now. WTF is going on?? Im ordering a new dizzy on Friday hopefully this fixes some of my problems.
