96 prelude si starts and stubles out. like a main relay problem but not, it kinda runs a little longer than a main relay issue. replaced it anyways to be sure. checked ignition switch its ok. have fuel pressure with key on and while cranking and spark. car was towed to me with a blown engine, i replaced engine with reman. has 210 compression, triple checked cam timing, ok. ideas??????????

Bye an FPR with guage or pressure guage. monitor your fuel pressure when it stubles to a stop. If the fuel is dropping as its stumbling to a stop, that isolates it to a gas problem. If it stays strong around 40 (depending what test method you do 38 and 46 I believe) than its probably electically related.

Edit* I forgot to say you'd probably need a friend to help you with the fuel pressure check. Its nice to have someone in cockpit to start if for you and even give it gas to keep it going if that works.

Can you give it gas to keep it idling?

i have about 41 psi key on, then while cranking and when it starts for a second the fuel pressure drops about 5-6 psi and goes back to 40 which is whats it spose to do. its gota be electrical then i guess, but what..... ****!!!!!
