9,000rpm b16a... Suggestions on Head Work??
I have a b16a motor in my Ek that is stock.. just the ecu is upgraded and it is a red ecu.. dunno what is done to the ecu but i know it goes up to 9,000rpm and it sucks a lot of gas... just wanted to get some suggestions on what head work i should do to it.. Want to go all motor...what kind of valve springs? Valve Retainers? Should I get New Exhaust and Intake Valves?? any suggestions??
Hmm, were to start......
A red ecu is not a tuned ecu unless I missed that. Sounds like a chipped ecu.
1) select a cam
2) get a valvetrain to match the cam
3) what type of header? if stock get a decent header for your set-up
4) get a good free flowing exhaust
5) get a tune

red ecu...
taking a stock b16 to 9k isn't smart or safe. Start planning what you want out of the motor other then going to 9k.
