9,000rpm rev... Suggestions on head work??
I have a b16a motor in my Ek that is stock.. just the ecu is upgraded and it is a red ecu.. dunno what is done to the ecu but i know it goes up to 9,000rpm and it sucks a lot of gas... just wanted to get some suggestions on what head work i should do to it.. what kind of valve springs? Valve Retainers? Should I get New Exhaust and Intake Valves?? any suggestions??
You should get a stock ECU because you're running a stock engine. All your doing is harm revving your stock engine to 9k even though it makes peak power at under 8k.

upgade the the valve springs and retainers . passed 9000rpms your asking alot of the stock retainer. i ve built a few circle track hondas and found these to be very common problem, but keep i mind these cars run 25 to 75 laps, pretty much wide open. as far as the valves, they hold alot i ve seen 700+hp cars with no problems.
