B head flange solidworks drawing
INTAKE FLANGE
does anyone have a file for one? I am trying to design some ITBs and need one.
the dwg on t3 flange.com doesnt import correctly and has geometry errors in solidworks.
thank you

I know I looked at it in DWG editor quickly. AutoCAD files alwys translate into SW that way esp. on radi and tangent lines.
EDIT: Offset another plane at whatever distance, pick the entities one by one, careful not to double click. Convert the sketch onto the new plane. You can eliminate all the duplicate geometry this way and repair the sketch(tools/sketchtools/repairsketch), then extrude it.

The issue with the extrude is the fact on the top leftish corner of the flange there is an overlap on the lines thus making it not extrude properly. Fix is so it actually makes it a solid and you will be good to go. I'd suggest just tracing the exterior and extuding it. Probably take you 10 minutes. But any decent CAD draftsperson should have been able to figure that out already.
PS: I did this with another CAD program called Vectorworks, but it's all the same **** in the end.

thanks for the insult
but the way it came in there were more than one of those overlaps. im no pro user either, just alittle here and there.

Not really. What you see and what I saw will be two different things because we are both translating geometry into different softwares. but any decent CAD person should have been able to figure that out.

See if you can snag this file

It was in my reference file folder. I have not built to this drawing and CANNOT verify that it is correct. Use at your own risk and with your own judgment. My Solidworks install is broken and I cannot open it... so I am not really sure what it is a file of!
Good luck.
