Default speedo problem in 93 si

i baught my dream car since i was 12 about 5 months ago. im 18 now by the way. it was a white 93 si, with b18 non vtec swap and some suspension stuff, since then i did more suspension work, duck bill, mirror and headlights and stuff.

but in the past 2 weeks under hard acceleration my needle would be around 180KMH when i havnt even left first gear yet. and just cruising around town in 3rd gear at 50KMH the needle would occasionally bounce from 50 to 60 and 65, and i would wiggle the plugs in my engine bay a bit and it will be all good for a while.

then about 4 nights ago it was doing it again, so when me and my girlfriend were comming out of taco bell i wiggled the plugs again. i got in and turned the car on and immediatly while pulling out just letting off the clutch it was saying i was doing around 200 kmh and racking up some fake miles on my cluster. so i popped the hood and wiggled the plugs around a bit and my speedo just stopped working after that.

after driving around for a bit with my speedo not working my check engine light will come on, i assume its relative to the speedo. does anyone have any advice or speculations to what this could be?

Let me get this straight, so you were 12 five months ago and now you're 18? Hmm...
