Default kg/mm springs for autocross

I'm thinking about getting a set of KG/MM springs for my ITR. I autocross in STX class and drive HPDEs whenever I can. The car will probibly never see sticky tires. Will these springs be an improvement over stock springs? I would like to get the car to push a little less without severely upsetting the stock overall balance, and I don't know enough to tune coilovers yet, will these help? I searched and found a bunch of crap about wheel gaps and lowering, but no real useful info.
