exhaust opinion
hey H-T, me and my boy are in a bit of a debate. he has a gsr bored to 84mm with 12.5 comp. with pro 2's and a pro series intake mani and a 68 mm TB.
the question is what size piping should he go with 2.5in or 3in. to a vibrant muffler? he was also looking at the hytech big tube header. thanks for the help.

I just put on my hytech big tube replica on my 1.8 ltr n.a gsr, I welded the 2 pieces together and then straight to my gready sp2 catback i believe its still 2.4, im curently running it with my tunned setup which was tuned with a dc 4-1, sk2 test pipe and greddy sp2 catback, 11:6:1 jdm itr pistons bc 3+ cams aem 3" cai, sk2 pro series im portmatched to 68mm tb, aem pulleys, tuned on hondata s100 to 204hp-148ft lbs tq on a dynapack, i first ran it open header and that **** was loud as **** sounded like i had a cammaro swap
low end was gone but after 5000rpm's it pulls real hard and revs faster! my friend timed my 0-60mph in the car with me with the open header and it was 6.66 devilish if you ask me lol
. Today i welded it to my greddy sp2 cat back its alot quiter and usual low end is alot better but now pulls hard around 6500rpm and revs real fast all the way to redline which is on my set up 8500rpm"s, its obviouse it wants to rev way past 8500 which it was stated it was good for/ 2.0 ltr motors or high reving, high comp., im gonna throw in my sk2 pro 1 cams +valve train and tune again next weak, i'll post results of the dyno when tuned

I'm using 3inch K-teller piping with SMSP resonators to a 3 inch vibrant muffler on a 2.0liter GSR setup.. Getting it installed within a week..
