What does it take to make a car handle?
The ITR is one of the best handling production cars in the world pulling .93Gs of lateral acceleration. How does it do this?
I was looking online( http://www.edmunds.com/edweb/highperf.html ), and porsche, corvette, etc cant match it...
Obviously its not tires alone, because corvettes and porsches come with good tires too. I'm not convenced its suspension geometry either, because it shares the GS-Rs geomerty and the GS-R only pulls .84Gs. What else is there?

A good driver.
With that said, I bet most ITRs here (mine included) handle like crap.

The truth is the truth, and practice makes perfect... Let's all be honest though, isn't practice the best part of it anyway?

btw road holding isnt all there is to good handling.

Now seriously? It's the suspension. The suspension determines the effectivity of the tires. The goal is to have the wheel/tire perpendicular on the road at all times for maximum grip.
A double wishbone is a great design to achieve that. You can tune the length of the upper and the lower arm to optimize grip. Because the wheels travel up and down during cornering and bumps it's the task of the suspension to guide the wheels....
There are many more small details about suspensions tuning like changing the toe during compression of the spring. The rear trailing arm and compensator arm of Hondas does that....
The ITR suspension is just a fine tuned GSR/Civic EG suspension, nothing more.
BTW handling is not only defined by lateral grip.

What sack said. Until you're better than a car is in stock form, there's no reason to change anything, including suspension/tires/etc. I just wish I would have known this truth earlier, before wasting money on engine mods.

The biggest reason the Type R has higher cornering Gs than the GSR is because of the tires. It's also why magazine tests publish such high numbers. Everyone knows how long they last... they have to be sticky.
The suspension makes a bit of a difference too, but not so much in steady-state cornering like lateral G tests. It would make much more of a difference in something like a slalom or an autocross.
