Default B20 Header?

I am collecting parts to build a B20/VTEC and I wanted to know if I need a new header. I have a 4-2-1 Greddy header now on the factory B16. Can I use the oil pan from the B16 on the B20 so the header will clear the oil pan?

No. Sell the manifold and buy a coated SMSP.

I heard there were other companies making headers for b series motors. Maybe I'm wrong though.

i love it how every1 says " buy an smsp header and coat it" like if its that cheap.

There are other headers for cheaper that can achieve almost the same power gains.

Show me where anyone has talked about coated SMS manifolds in the past month and I'll PP you $5. I think sometimes people forget that Dave doesn't only build $1K+ header(s), the coated ones are are a cheaper alternative.

Bullshit. You and your ****** replica tri-y piece of **** cannot match the power gains of an SMSP, not even "almost."

-Better quality
-More power
-Better ground clearence
-Support our country and not some ****** sweat shop in Thailand
-MUCH better resale value.

Yet clowns like you refuse to save for maybe 1 more whoppin month to get a SMS. Always want results without having to pay for it. Get outta here douche...you provide nothing for this forum but dumb posts and attitude, you got bullshit fallin out your mouth with every log-on.

RMF/SSR/SMSP all offer their headers in mild steel + cermanic coating for people with a lower budget but still want quality headers that will peform every single time. Not to mention, the headers will be built to YOUR engine. The tri-y replicas etc are mass produced for a general range whereas the higher end headers will be build with different size tubing/collectors if needed for your application. How much is a china tri-y these days? $400? You can get a RMF Bseries header for $800 in mild steel before coating. Double the price, yes, but made for "general range?"--NO and it will definitely out perform it hands down. As I always say, you get what you paid for.

I was under the impression the Tri-Y replicas and the real deal netted similar performance gains...

Does anyone have any dynos comparing the two?

ROFL. I <3 your posts.

I was pointing out that there was other quality header manufacturers like Hytech, Toda, Bisimoto, DTR, RMF, etc. However your point is valid to a degree. The replicas are made cheaply. They are copied off of companies that actually spent time and money developing a quality product. They spent no time on R&D and just copied someone elses design. It's sad, but unfortunetly it does make good power. I'm sure one of Jon's real headers would make a few more hp than the knockoff however. At the cost of $700+...

I'll swallow my pride and say that it does make power for the price tag, I just despise the thing. Whatever, I'm done ranting about it. Tired friggin subject.
