Default Trying to get the JDM d15 vtec striaght

ok from what I am told the

-to build the head you use z6 parts

for the block its z6 rods with shorter pistons but what size pistons to use?

I am trying to do research on the d15b and I know this question has been covered a ton of times I know the crank on the d15b is like know other in the us but is it true that z6 rods will work and head parts. and what size piston to use I am just trying to get this info sstriaght because there is so much out there thanks H\T

WOOT WOOT i got this thread back off yall.

D15b pistons are unique. They have the 1.5l deck clearance and a compression bump to make the same power as a 1.6l. You can't get them anywhere else but the d15b.

Are you trying to build a d15b? Or rebuild one?

use d15 piston rings
d16z6 rods bearings, other then that use 1.5 stuff on the block and d16z6 stuff on the head.

The piston rings and rod bearings are the only 2 off kilter part numbers for the d15b
main bearings use d15

D-series.org is your best friend right now. Look up in the faqs on their website for the D15B faqs. It'll tell you everything you need to know. Have fun reading and g/l 2 u.

so ther is noway to replace the piston in the d15b

Yeah there is a way to replace d15b pistons. You have to get another set. Good luck on finding another set.
